a step by step bench bleeding

I just finished my c5 brake swap and my pbr rear brakes. The car brakes ok but not nearly as good as my all stock 99 Z-28 I have new ss lines and need to bench bleed the MC since I had a bad rear hose leak that would empty the resovoir meaning I must have air in the sytem. How do I properly bench bleed the MC.

as long as you dont push the pedal all the way to the floor, which damages the MC, you can just blee the brakes as normal. If you would like to do it the "right way", pull off all of the lines from the master cylinder and get bench bleeding adapters from a parts store if they are available. they are basically plastic fittings that screw into the MC where your lines were. then get some clear plastic tubing that have a tight fit(Probably included in the kit). they will go from the fittings and dump back into the resevoir. at first, you cant push the pedal all the way to the floor, because it will damage the master cylinder. after you only have brake fluid traveling through the lines, reconnect the hard lines. dont let the resevoir go empty otherwise youve just screwed yourself out of all that hard work. have plenty of wet rags around to soak up the brake fluid so you dont mess up your paint...theres a reason they call it "bench bleeding"
