E-Brake cable. Re-attaching to lever on shoe
OK people. I'm struggling tring to get the cable back on to the shoe lever (I'm renewing wheels cylinders, pipes and shoes). I've done one side - I managed to hold the spring back with some pliers. However, the other lever is proving to be a complete bugger. I cannot seem to get the spring around the cable to come away from the end. I think I'll have to resort to a two person operation...
Any ideas please?

two vice grips, one on the metal 'plug' the other on the spring, then pry them open and slip the lever in there, might take a few trys, this is how i did it just the other day.
