drum to disk

Engine: 305 4 barrel
Transmission: th 700r4
drum to disk

if im switchingaxle assemblys and putting on a disk rear in place of a drum do i need a proportioning vlave right off the bat?

It will work w/o switching it but not properly.

thanks for the info ,everything is exactky the same from axle to axle apart from the brakes.the brake lines look like they will bolt direc;y in is this so ?

Use the disc brake brake lines. The rubber hose that goes from the tee to the line on the body will hook right up.

thanks for your help,when you say the T you mean the t located on the diferential housing correct?will i need a proportioning valve imediately or can it be driven after hooking all the lines up?

Yes, T on Diff. housing..... No, you don't need prop. valve right away but get it asap..... I'm running w/ the wrong one but I have the right one just not the time to put it on.

thanks it would only be a cou[le of weeks i ordered the adjustable from jegs.but i also got the one off of the car i got the rear from.
