Where to get Corvette calipers ?

Any advice as to where I would be able to find used Corvette calipers ? The "dismantle it and pick the part yourself" junkyards here don't ever have any Corvettes there ... so... I was wondering *lol*

Rotors well yeah I would buy those new... but wondering about calipers and brackets

BTW this is for the front only

The calipers ? .. Well ... I need the biggest Corvette calipers that would fit a '91 Camaro RS . .with the stock Z28 rims (16 inch rims) that came with the car

Would the C5 calipers .. like these
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MakeTrack=true

fit .. or would I have to go with C4's ?

C5s won't fit 16" wheels, at least not with a C5 rotor. If you need C4 or C5 calipers, let me know. I have both new and used on hand.

C4HD brakes fit behind stock Z28 rims. 13"x1.1" rotors with dual-piston brakes. I love mine.

I'd almost recommend going with the LS1 brakes though. Little bit small rotor (12") but they are thicker (1.25") and appear to have larger pad surface area and a better caliper slide/guide mechanism.

forgot

OK... now would C5's with a smaller rotor work ? .. Or would that be a waste of time .. compared to just getting a set of C4's or LS1's ?

The LS1 thread over in FAQ has comparisons between the C4s:

https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=183169

You can fit a LS1 rotor and C5 caliper into a 16" wheel:

I run the HDs and 1LEs and love them.

I have a pair of Z06 calipers I'd sell for $125.

Since everyone is offering to sell their parts, should not this be moved to the classified wanted board?
