ok guys this might be a stupid question but I have to ask. I am doing the entire C5 big brake upgrade from www.bigbrakeupgrade.com. I am seeing on there that you can get C5 rear calipers too.... I am woundering if this is a compatible component with the "Ls1 rear disk upgrade" or even the "Lt1 rear disk upgrade. I know what i need for the "drum to disk" upgrade but i wanted to know if the C5 caliper works with these set ups

C5 rear calipers = LS1 rear calipers.. Get the Z06 rears if you want them red..

thanks man... thats all i wanted to know.. and by the way, has any one had a chance to get some results with the stoping performance with the C5 kit? i know its bigger and better but I just wanted to hear some testimony

 

I don't have any actual numbers, I can say that the difference between the stock brakes and C5 fronts was amazing. I also switched to LT1 rear from the stock drum brakes around the same time. Basically the stock brakes wouldn't even lock up the larger 17/18" wheel/tire combo I was running, after the C5 brake swap it left skid marks on the first test drive. One of the best mods I've done so far to the car.
