baer rear brake kit

hey guys,

i'm looking to ditch my crappy stock rear calipers/parking brake mechanism due to the obvious reasons. i have my heart set on a baer system, specifically the sport system with the 12 inch rotors so they can fit my 16" GTA cross-lace rims. my question to you guys is: who sells the sport kit? i've seen the touring kit all over the place, but that won't fit because of the 13" rotor. anyone know anyplaces where i can get my hands on a sport kit?

I have done this swap already but I purchased the pieces individually and put it on at a later time. I would say the hardest part is getting the axles out of the housing. The rest was a breeze provided that I hadnt broken 2 hard lines, damn rust. Where in NJ are you? I am in the Trenton area.

If your have your heart set, then the following may not be of help, but it is an alternative (and probably cheaper):

Like James stated, the Baer rear Sports are no different than an '89-97 rear brake setup so you may just want to go that route. I can put one together for you in no time if you'd like.

Install is as described above...Pull axles, change backing plates, reinstall axles, and install all the brake stuff. Shouldn't take 2-3 hours to do.

Rear Discs 87 Iroc

Hi,

Sorry to jump in, but contemplating similar addition for my 87 Iroc

showcar. Have been running the 13" Baer Claw front discs with

thier aluminum hubs for a few years with my 16" Iroc wheels.

Yes they clear! Don't like thier price on comparible rears so was

thinking of going to the newer 12'' 3rd gen rears. Are thier any

problems with the E-brake setup on them. from what I got from

Baer thier is a problem on thiers Costwise-ballpark?
Am running the 9 Bolt BW.

Thanks
