Did you have to use washers to space out the abutments bracets from the spindle bracket? My spindle brackets from Ed make the abutments rub on the rotor. I am going to have to use some washers to move them over a bit.

Mine don't do that. I went to bigbrakeupgrade.com, the kit came fully assembled and bolted right on.

My kit from Ed came with washers to make them fit perfectly. You should send him a PM and see what you need to make it right.

So the kit for the front is a no brainer on where to get and what to do, but what about a C5 kit for the rear of a 4th gen rearend? I go the rearend for no spacers on ZO6 wheels.

I am doing the c5 rear brake swap. So far I have the ls1 rear backing plate parking brake assembly, lt1 axles, ls1 rotors, c5 calipers and abutments. I have been reading that there really isn't much to it. The reason I am using the ls1 parking brake is because it is a much simpler swap. Check out this site for a little more info:

Ready to spoil your party...C5 calipers/carriers won't bolt onto LS1 backing plates. I have the parts in the shop and I'll post pics of both later.

Sorry!

So a rear LS1 swap - LS1 calipers/brackets + C5 Calipers/brackets?

Ed, I just found that out. The C5 abutment bolt holes are bigger than the LS1 and with the Power Slot LS1 rotors that I am using I am off 1/4". Oh so close. I am going to try to make a bracket that moves the abutment down a little bit. I think I can make it work. I will keep you posted. I can't fully make a bracket yet as the axles are in because the rear is put together yet because I can't find a case spreader...but I am working on it.

Do they sell a full bolt-in kit, or did you have to do some fab work?
