LT1 style E-brake cable?
Awhile back i put a STrange 12bolt rear in my car and converted to 97 Z28 rear disk brakes, however i just ditched the ebrake cable czu i didnt need it at the time. Well now i installed a T56 and i need an ebrake, Anybody hook up the ebrake to the LT1 style rear brakes, i could use alittle advice on whats needed to hook this up and get it working again.. Previously had drums on the back..
thanks, mike

I made two new brackets out of angle-iron and welded them to the bottom of the car. They butt up to the existing reinforcement. My car is an '87 Firebird that was drum brakes as well including hand brake forward cable mated to '95 rear disc brakes and cables. New forward cable was $20 (broke old one), the two rear cables came from donor car.

If you use the right cables for the PBRs you have they will bolt right in. 4th gen cables are different but the 3rd gen first design cables bolt right in, no problems. They fit right into the stock cable brackets seen in the second picture posted above, no mods necessary.

The small rectangle in the cable loops over the end of that lever, pictured in this thread in post #22:

The LT1 calipers may different (I have no experience with them), but 89-92 PBR's have an attaching point and spring as well as the lever Ed mentions:
