Custom wheel size

American racing wheel's custom shop can change the dimension's on this wheel (offset, backside, bolt circles). What I need is what sizes will allow me to upgrade brakes later. I would like some wide tires in the back & something in the front that is about as wide as my 245x45x16's. Can anyone help?

What wheel? No link or pic. What brakes are you considering?

I thought I placed a links but I guess it did not work. It was at the American Racing Wheel home site and it was called "Trakstar S" with a custom offsets.

OK, stock front backspacing is 4.5". Let's say you install a set of C5 brakes which will add .300" or so to your front track width...have the wheels made with .300" or so more backspacing and you're all set, like 4.75" BS to match the rears and you can then rotate them any time you want without having to change tires.

Great Idea. I'll check to see if they could make a template for that size.

I am looking foe the same info. I want to get 17x9.5 TT2 wheels with a 5.75" backspacing for the front and and maybe either 5.5 or 5.25 for the rear. Im hoping that will work for the front when I put the C5 brakes on. Does this sound like a workable option here Ed? If the 5.75" backspacing in the front hits the tierod then maybe I will add a smaller spacer until I get the C5 brakes put on. I just want a deeper lip on my rear wheels.
