resurface?
hey guys im doing my brakes on my firebird and i had a question about the rotor.... Im replacing the brake hose, wheel bearings, and brakes pads, should i get the rotors resurfaced? they do not look or feel too bad..
How will it affect my brakes if they are not resurfaced?
also i dont really have enough money to get them serviced at a shop so keep that in mind

a lot of parts stores have the gizmo to do it right there, $10 a rotor. Can you spare $20?
I'd do it, it's only $20.
Then i'd take some 180 grit sandpaper and sand the surface in a circular pattern. Then spray it with brake kleen (the one time you get to use it for what it's called...) and wipe it off. Then don't touch the rotors after that. the braking surface that is.
The new pads may not bed in well if you don't get 'em surfaced. They can just glaze over the pads and not stop well.
