can a pressure plate be resurfaced??

can a pressure plate be resurfaced??

I know the flywheel can be resurfaced. but my pressure plate that i got for my auto to t-56 swap looks pretty burnt. can the pressure plate be resurfaced??

Probably but it's not a good idea since there are other parts that wear out in it such as the springs.

Axle/Gears: 3.42
Plus removing material from it reduces the springs set preload making it hold less pressure.

sure it could ,but the real question is would you gain anything by doing it, answer no. the PP is a wear item, replace it, and if you're replacing it replace the clutch, throw out bearing and pilot bearing.
