looking for anyone running Z06 brakes and 9.5" wheels
I am looking for a pic of how the wheel and tire sits in the wheel well with a 9.5" wheel with 5.5"BS AND the Z06 front brakes. Im asking because I need to know if its worth the extra money to have a pair of wheels custom made with a different BS due to the C5 rotor pushng the wheel out a little bit more then the stock rotor. I can have the wheels made with a 5.75"BS but I need to know if its worth the money and wait.

Let me know what wheels you are considering. I would like to do the same or similar.
I recently put on an ed miller Willwood kit. I was runing Vintage racing ( TT2 copies) 17 x 9.5 with 5.5 bs on my bear kit with no issues. I had to add a spacer to run the willwoods due to the caliber hitting the spokes.
My point is that the BS was fine, but the spoke angle was my constraint. I would like to change BS to reduce scrub radias back to where I had it before.
Keep us posted.

well I wish I could try a 9.5" wheel with a 5.75 "BS to see how it would fit but I cant find a wheel in that BS that I can return if it dont fit so I may end up going with an 8" wheel. I just dont see it being possible to get a 9.5" wheel to either sit flush with the fender lip or tuck AND still have the C5 brakes. I bet it would work with the 5.75" BS but Im not sure if it will rub on the tieord or strut. Maybe I will try to find one of those trick looking tools that mounts to your car and holds a tire in place and then you can move it around to see where the tire and suspension work with different offsets and BS.
EDIT, here is a pic of the tool I am talking about. to bad it cost $90

the c5 brakes will move the front wheels out about a 1/3 of an inch on each side. i have 17x8 ROH snypers on the front and they are a zero offset i think. my car is lowered and i wouldnt want the wheels out ANY farther. im running a 245/45/17 b/f tire and i wouldnt go any wider. i would think you might rub the inner fenders with a rim that wide and a comparable tire. i could be wrong but my car being lowered mine rubs with what i got. i love your car, that coler is sweet! with a 5.5 inch back space that would sit on the out side the same as mine does now right?... if so i have picks i can e mail you to see how they sit in comparison to the fender. i cant post pics on here so if you want to see some pics i can e mail them to you. i hope i can help you.

ya I think Im going to go with an 8" wheel up front. If I wasnt going with the C5 brakes then I would go with the 9.5. I have had 2 different kinds of wheels on my car both being 9.5" and neither of them rubbed where I couldnt drive the car. My concern is not rubbing though, its the wheel sticking out that bothers me. I just dont want the wheels and tire to stick out past the fender. it just looks total crap. Thats the reason I just sold my wheels. Granted I was running a 2" spacer with them and I proberbly could have gotten away with a smaller one but that yesterdays news now. Im gonna see if I can find one of those nice trick tools that allows you to set up the backspacing and offset of a wheel AND simulate a tire on it all at the same time. Summit and Jegs sell one for $90. I MAY go that route just to see what I can get away with.
