Front end pulls all over when applying brakes....
Okay, so here's the scoop...
Originally when I hit the brakes, it pulled hard right. I called Summit to order new SSBC front brakes and got them right away. I pulled the old rotors off, re-packed the bearings, put them into the new rotors with brand new races. Had to replace the driver side caliper, cuz it was froze. THOUGHT that would have solved the problem. Well I get it together & it pulled hard left now. I figured cuz the original factory calipers were only $10.00 + $15.00 core, i'd pick up the passenger side caliper & replace right away. When all got put together, I tried to bleed it and realized I am not getting any brake fluid to the passenger caliper! WTF??? I proceeded to replace that brake line & got plenty of fluid, bled both sides & now i'm ready to rock. Well, thats what I thought. I took it out and now it is pulling hard left, pulling hard right & overall getting out of control when I hit the brakes hard. I have to counter-steer just to brake in a straight line. So the whole front end is brand new, brake line, calipers, rotors, bearings packed, pads & plenty of fluid. Whats next, any ideas? suspension??

I think I may have my answer, I found another discussion on here saying it maybe a bad brake line. It was only the passenger side brake line that was replaced. Because the other side worked just fine with pressure, it doesn't necessarily mean that its still AS GOOD as the brand new one. I'll try that and re-post. Junior Member

my 91 dose the same thing it looks like a rear line is busted for me. i have fluid run down on the thq arm and on the floor pan around the rear of the drive shaft tunnel. at first i thought it was the rear end seal but the rear end wasnt wet. i have to track that line down my self.

Re: Front end pulls all over when applying brakes....
I've posted about this subject about once every two years: Stock rubber brake lines are good for only seven to ten years if the brake fluid isn't changed on a periodic basis. My car's lines failed at year number seven, fourteen, and at age sixteen I put in braided stainless lines, and began changing the fluid every 24 months. The brake fluid picks up water and this causes the inside of the rubber lines to break down.

Yup, Stock lines suck. This is one of those rare times when the problem is easy and cheap to fix. Hey 25th, How do you like that ZZ-409 cam? I was thinking of getting one for my stealth-rammed 383.-Mike

Yah, I LOVE the ZZ-409 cam. Night and day difference between the comp cams cam that I had before w/a .480 lift. It (the ZZ-409) pulled hard up to 6300 w/my twin runners from my TPI, but now that i upgraded to Mini-ram, its pullin easy to 6600 before I manually shift it to prevent blowing up my motor. Good Choice!! I'm takin er down to GLD on Friday to see the results.
