Rotors

I went to get new rotors, and they asked me if I have the performance package. How do I know. It is a 91 Camaro RS it had the 305 V8. But I have no Idea if it has the performance package. How can I find out?

The performance package (1LE) will have 11.7 inch rotors with alum calipers. The regular rotors are 10.5 inches and have iron calipers. The following link will show you the performance package for both front and rear:

Re: Rotors

sorry to bring this one back from the dead, and/or beat a dead horse, but does the dual piston caliper distinction work for the '84 pontiacs too?

A stock 84 will have single piston iron calipers.

Re: Rotors

Nope. The 1LE package didn't arrive until the late 80's.

Re: Rotors

weird. my brake rotor application book at work shows rotor options for with and without performance for an 84. guess i'll just go with without.

Re: Rotors

Parts books are like that, some data entry freak got overzealous and listed things in the wrong places. Most thirdgens have the standard brakes, but those books wont tell you that.
