I actually have a 4th Gen F-body, a 93 Camaro V6, but this should still work, right? I'm not looking to upgrade the gears or put in posi or anything, just yet. Its my wife's car, and she wants rear disc. Anyway, I was wondering if you could PM me prices for just the bracket and also for the whole kit. Thanks!

Hey ED site is looking GREAT...
Was curious, I have your brackets on my 85 10Bolt with PBR's. I'm looking into buying a 4th gen rear. Does it have to be a 93-97 and if it is drum will the same brackets work. Or if i can use a 98-02 will they also work..
Also which rears to look for, like z-28's or RS let me know
Thanks KEVIN

Hey Ed, It was good talking to you about my braking solutions.
Just wondering if a guy could install a C-clip eliminator kit (10 bolt) with this brake upgrade?

Re: Hassle free drum rear disc conversion to 1LE/ LT1 PBR rear brakes
Ed,
I am finally getting around to this swap. I am probebly picking up a set of used calipers, rotors, pads for $90.
So I need to know how much for the brackets/hardware(10 bolt) e brake cables and proportioning valve. I think that is all I need. Can I have the price w/ and w/o the braided lines? Thanks
PM me.
By the way my brother and I LOVE the C4 brakes!!! Amazing!

Hello
My name is James Franklin...I've read your thread on the brake conversion..I'd like to ask if you will price a full kit with all the lines and E-brake cables every thing stock...for my '92 Camaro RS.
More important is how much time do you need before you can ship it all out and how do you want paid. This is my next project.....New A/C is good and cold...Vat system all good....tires...shocks...ect.
My car is in pretty good shape and not a lot of rust involved.
Thanks for your time and having these things to make the work easier....

Re: Hassle free drum rear disc conversion to 1LE/ LT1 PBR rear brakes
Hey ed i beleive i spoke to you about my pbr setup im trying to complete, autozone had a mixup when i returned the set of pbr calipers i ordered because i was gonna put it on hold, and they ended up screwing up and sending me another set of pbrs without charging me for em, hey who doesnt appreciate free stuff huh? My question is ive already got a disk rear with a 3.73 posi out of a saginaw, im chucking the old iron brakes in light of my new calipers what else will i need to complete it? I know i need carriers and i think backing plates/ rotors etc... right? Or could i mount these up to the old ones with no problems? If you could shoot me the parts needed with a price quote that'd be awesome
Any help would be appreciated

Re: Hassle free drum rear disc conversion to 1LE/ LT1 PBR rear brakes
Count me another satisfied customer! The new rear brakes are great. I've put over 500 miles, a track day, and an auto-x on them with nothing but great braking! I also just recently upgraded to LS1 fronts with the use of Ed's parts and wow, what a difference from stock. I can now brake much later than with the stock brakes...enough to scare auto-x passengers.

I guess ill have to wait for th right rear end to come along. But the Pads, Rotors and calipers are the same. HHMMM.. Odd, all that is different is the bolt pattern that holds brackets on.

Re: Hassle free drum rear disc conversion to 1LE/ LT1 PBR rear brakes
Hello Ed, iv been thinking about changing my rear drum breaks to disk breaks. Iv got a base 97 Camaro stock V6 (3.8) with a 5 speed tranny (in a couple years ill be looking into swapping the V6 and tranny out to an LT1 with a 6 speed(and possibly upgrading the front disks so that i know ill be able to stop the beast without a problem)). can you please PM me and let me know what all and the pricing for everything ill need to make the change from drums to disks-(plates, lines, cables and so on)? and will i need to get a different master cylinder to match?
Thanks so much
Joel

Gearhead, thank you. If you could please send me (e-mail or link) to some restoration or final pics of your car as I can (hopefully) get mine painted this year and actually drive the thing around. I have the same paint color but with the gold trim. Thank you Sir.

Any experience with the Dana 44? I've just picked one up and it only has the backing plates. Aperion (a forum member) says it's set up for the later model PBR discs and rotors.

Re: Hassle free drum rear disc conversion to 1LE/ LT1 PBR rear brakes
I have 97 firebird calipers and wondered if the 1997 11.6" rear rotors would work with the axles. I dont want to have to do any machining to my aftermarket moser axles. Also, would this whole setup work with the stock 15" 1983 Monte Carlo SS rally rim? I can grind some cooling fins off the top of the calipers for clearance, but how much space will this leave me?

Yes, they will work fine with the Moser axles and the 15" wheels as well. You shouldn't need to clearance them at all. If you can find someone with the stock '89-92 rear discs on their car, try to test fit your wheel before you do the upgrade.

Re: Hassle free drum rear disc conversion to 1LE/ LT1 PBR rear brakes
Hey ED ,
Installed your PBR brackets last week, this setup works great. I have a 92RS originally drum, used OEM disc ebrake cables for 92, the ebake does nothing. Is there an additional step I am missing, or do I need some different parts.
For those of you out there stil using those old drums, I can highly reccomend Ed's rear PBR setup. What a difference!
Thanks
Greg

Yes the 11.6" rotors will fit 15" wheels, and they only work with the '89-97 style rotors and calipers and NOT the '98-up LS1 style rotors. Those are a different design.

I have a 1986 disc brake rearend in my 1988 camaro, but I bought rotors for 1988 rearend with 11,5 rotors. I'm just trying to see if they make brackets and calipers that will bolt up to my rearend that I can use with 11.5 in rotors and where do I get them from?

Re: Hassle free drum rear disc conversion to 1LE/ LT1 PBR rear brakes
Quick question on the front barkes not to throw anyone off subject. But the brakets to install slide on rotors on a standard hub on our car, is that only for the 98+ brakes or 93-02? I have machined hub and spindles just curios if i got your brakets what years i can use thanks...
