Running braided line off master cylinder, need fitting sizes...
Running braided line off master cylinder, need fitting sizes...
I'm trying to clean up the bay before the engine goes in. I'm going to be running braided lines off the master cylinder and relocating the prop valve. Well I need to convert the master over to AN. What I want to do is either go with a banjo fitting right off the master or else use a male to male convertor and run a standard AN style. Obviously the stock male fitting on one end and an AN male on the other side. Earls has the fittings, but I just need to know what size the female master cylinder connectors are. They are 2 different sizes. The master is out of an 87.
Thanks!

They're an M1.0 and an M1.5 or some such thing.
I hope you're not planning on using rubber hose and aluminum fittings for that.

No Rubber lines. Teflon stainless braided. All Earls stuff...
Will post part numbers when I get home, just to be sure. First time doing this. Have a friend advising, but want to be sure.

The finalized plan is to run a double male off the master. Master cylinder end: flare and other end: -3AN to. Then have a -3AN 90 degree coupler. Then to Earls line: EAR-63010112erl (summit) Earls brake line, speed-flex, Braided Stainless Steel Hose, Female -3AN to Female -3AN, 12in long.

Re: Running braided line off master cylinder, need fitting sizes...
I have been all over trying to get a confirmed answer... Summit would not let me test fit. They had to know the size first. Well I tried the hardware store route and go no where. Then tried the hydralic store route. Went to supposedly the best in town. They don't deal in brake fittings. The crossover stuff they had was mostly Standard. They took a measurement of the sizes. Confirmed metric 10 & 12. They used a thread measuring tool to try and figure out the pitch. Best idea they had was 10X1.5 and 12X1.0. I went to summit and they had no fittings to match in either Earl or Russel.
Is what Apeiron said correct? Seems to confirm what the hydralic shop said.
Seriously does know one know for sure the fitting sizes off the master cylinder???? Apeiron is the hydralic shop right? Do you know where I might get said conversion fittings?
