Installing a new proportioning/combo valve - how do I bleed the brakes?
I saw a few threads in my search saying that after you install a new prop valve if you don't bleed the brakes a certain way the pressure will get off center (at least that's how I understood it). I have spent a shitload of money on my brakes and I want them to work like they're supposed to (front and rear). I just ordered the 1LE prop valve I want to install it when I install my new C5s up front. I'm thinking about getting the Motive Products power bleeder so I can make sure I get all the air out.
Anyway, when I go to bleed the brakes after installing everything (whether I have the power bleeder or not) do I want to do it any different than normal? By normal I mean filling the reservoir and capping it and putting some tube on the bleeder screw and dropping it in a bottle with some fluid in it and going farthest to closest.
Probably a dumb question, but I don't want to wreck my car again so I can live with asking it.

I think I may also have another problem. I thought I read that 90-92 disk/drum cars had the right master cylinders for rear disks but they needed the 1LE prop valve. I was searching about the LS1 rear disk e-brake cable since I'm considering going ahead and doing that now and I saw something about needing the J50 master cylinder. My RPO code is J41. Is my master cylinder the right one or not?

Ok, Well I will try to help.
First, as far as your master cylinder you should be fine, Im doing the ls1 conversion all the way around, And I have the disk/ drum on an 88 firebird. and as far as I read my master cylinder is fine. So you should be ok there.
The ls1 rear parking brake, from what I understand, you need to either modify a bracket in some way to make the ls1 cables work, or you can get the 1le cables and they a saposed to work with no problems.
As far as the prop valve, Well I am looking into that myself. I figure i am just going to put my rear ls1 disk brakes on and use my stock prop valve, take it for a spin, and see if all four lock up, or come close, if they do im not going to worry about it, If the rears dont work at all I will look into a prop valve.
This is all info I have been searching through myself over the last couple weeks, and there is alot of info out there, some say your ok to use this or that, and other say your not. Then you ask a question and noone answers, or you get "use the search". So I just try to get the info sort it oput and do my best to make sence of it.

Thanks for your reply. Glad I'm not alone in my search for information about this! I thought my master would be ok, so I'm happy about that. My 1LE prop valve will be here Tuesday but there's a chance of rain Tuesday and Wednesday so I don't know if I'll get it done then or not. If no one tells me otherwise I'm just going to put my prop valve on and bleed the rear brakes then put my C5s on and bleed the fronts like normal and hope nothing goes wrong.

As far a I understand it your 1le prop valve should work just fine. I havent heard or read anything about screwing up the pressure, If it was me I would just do the normal, farthest to closest.
