Hydroboost for 3rd Gen

I'm thinking about converting to a hydtoboost system. I see a kit on Summit Racing for our car. the price is a little stiff but I'm serious looking to do an update to the Camaro. I want to buy the PBS system w/Wilwood Master Cylinder. Any have any experience with these kits?

We have hydroboost on our 78 cutlass. I'm not found of it, of course it might be ok if the car ran better.

Re: Hydroboost for 3rd Gen

Hydroboost is great if you get a radical cam that produces low vacuum, but if its a stocker or mildly modified engine then I think you would be wasting your money. I personally wouldnt go through all the trouble just to have hydroboost. Although I do think they look really cool.

Strip it from a full size truck in the junkyard.

Little bit of laying would get u a great setup easily, without spending the money I see the kits go for.

People have swapped them into a few F's and tons of G bodies.

Do they have hydroboost that's direct bolt-in or would I need major modication with the rod? What vechiles is comparable with the 3rd gen that would fit. I dont mind taking a dremel to open up the holes, but what about the rod being long enough or too short.

You can buy adjustable rods. I'm not sure where but I know you can because sometimes when replacing boosters or master cylinders on some of the newer cars, the rods arent adjustable and you have to use an adjustable type to complete the repair. I'd figure out the approximate length you need and a dealer would probably be able to match one up for ya.
