1LE Rotor/LS1 Caliper?

I've done a number of searches without finding anything. I know the 1LE rotor is a little smaller diameter and thinner, but it's close enough to work. Machining the stock rotor friction area away probably works fine, but since you have to get different rotors anyway, I was curious if anyone has tried to do the LS1 calipers on the "bolt on" 1LE rotors? Opinions? Pitfalls? Just a quick street car with occasional trips to the drag strip to break parts.

You can't just bolt those calipers onto the 1LE stuff, there's more to it than that. In the past I have made a C4 HD kit with a C5 caliper and it worked great, the difference in thickness is only .15" so it's not much. The problem I see is trying to fit the larger LS1 carrier between the rotor and spindle. I don't think it'll fit.

Thank you Ed, that was exactly the information I was looking for. I expected that it would require custom adapter brackets and hoses minimum, but clearance for the caliper carrier is something I didn't think about.

Thanks again, you're the man!!

Glad to see I'm not the only person who thought of this.
Seems like a another option for people with skills.
