e-brake

could anyone tell me the problem i have, my ebrake only kinda works, like it only brakes a little bit, like its not apling enough pressure to stop , can anyone tell me how to fix this?

How often do you use the e-brake? Drum rears have an automatic adjustment mechanism that will adjust the cable slack as wear goes on. Also, occasionally will need to be manually adjusted by rotation of the small toothed wheel thing on the inside of the baking plate. This is accessed by removing the oval shaped rubber plug on the lower part of the backing plate. Remove the plug and rotate the wheel, either up or down (I can't remember which) with a small standard screwdriver. Do one side at a time, both the same amount, and pull the lever and see if it's any better. Don't go too far or the shoe will continuously ride the drum which will cause overheating. Do it just enough that the drum spins free but the shoes engage when the lever is pulled. This should fix you up.
