drum to disc. E-brake problem.

I swapped my drum rear for a disc and cannot seem to get the cables to work. I thought I could just get the rear part of the cables for a disc setup, but it doesnt fit the front brake cable piece. Is there something I am missing?
The car is a 91 Z28, and the rear came out of a 90 IROC. I tried searching but couldnt this specific topic.

There are different cable designs in those years as well as a difference in the cable attachments in the trans tunnel. You need cables for a 1991 disc car, not the 1990 disc cables that you have.

guess I'll be calling NAPA. I think when I ordered the cables before, I got the ones for the rear end and not the car. I am assuming they will connect at the brakes the same way?

The calipers are the same for third gens from 89-92. They should hook up fine to the calipers. I actually have a caliper and rotor on my 90 off of a 95 Z28.

Re: drum to disc. E-brake problem.

I think the rear end may have been from an '89.... its been a while, but anyways;
did some research.
For a 1991 with rear drum the NAPA part number is:
left 94262 - 65 1/4" & conduit length 46 7/8"
right 94263 - 51 3/4" & conduit length 33 1/4"

for 1989 w/ disc rear:
93858 - 56 3/4" & conduit length 40 1/2"
only lists one cable

1990 & 1991 w/ rear disc both list this one:
94264 - 56 7/8" & conduit length 40 3/4"
only lists one cable

1991 w/ rear disc also lists this one:
94597 - 56 3/16" & conduit length 36 3/4
only lists one cable

If I remember correctly, the one I got, the cable is fine but the conduit was short(maybe visa/versa). What I will probably do it take it back to NAPA and compare it with the others to make sure I get the right one that is the right length and with the right connectors on it.
