Brake Light

I recently had my brakes done about 3 weeks ago. Everything was fine.
My brake light never came on unless the E-Brake was on then it would light up, well no when im driving my brake light will come on for a little while and go off and come back on. Im not sure what is exactly causing it, anyone have an Idea? I wasnt sure if the brake lght came on if there was brake trouble or only for the e brake.

Re: Brake Light

The fluid was right at the min line so I went ahead and filled it up the rest of the way, but it still comes on.

the pedal seems ok from what I remember...if the pedal was going mroe to the floor what would u think it would be??

So this light actually does come on if somethings up with the brakes other than the E-brake is on?

Re: Brake Light

yea, brake light activates if there is a prob with pressure or fluid level i believe, you may need your brakes bled. My cutlass was a PITA and i had to keep bleeding it because it was doing what you have. Just a thought. Maybe the light just likes being on

could be sumthing up with your ebrake i suppose, i know the leather boot on my truck doesn't let mine go down all the way and the light will come on and off, but then again on a maro there is no boot to make it go up at all so idk.

Re: Brake Light

Well thats not it anyways, i checked all of the vacum lines and they are attached. I took the lid of the brake fluid and went and hit the brake and a lot of air came out, maybe thats what it was, i havent got to drive it since then though because of problems with my hood shutting
