Front Hose, Wet Spot!!!

My front hose has a wet spot right were the hose meets the bolt that attaches to the caliper, could this cause weak stopping power? i also noticed when i bled the left side it was slower than the right side, meaning the bleeder screw and both calipers are brand new, previous owner had Midas change front right hose which drains like a fosset, and the left one was untouched and looks like it has a tiny leak unsure if this can cuase horrible stopping power...any clues?

Make sure there are 2 copper washers on either side on the banjo fitting. Those should have been replaced with the new hose i would check that first. Its a good idea to replace the rubber lines on both sides, and at the same time they are cheap insurance and will insure that the car will brake straight and not pull to one side.

And yes if its leaking you have air in that line and it needs to be bled.

Re: Front Hose, Wet Spot!!!

both copper washers are on tight and brand new came with the new calipers, the OG owner had Miadas repair the right line and not the left, and they do horrible work, its not leaking at the banjo nut, but the copper base the nut slides into the rubber hose slides on the copper base it has a super slow wet spot right were the rubber meets the copper base on the flex hose, think it can cause a spongy pedal? and bad stopping power?
