i have an 1983 and i want to up grade 2 disc but i dont want to over compensate and i want it to match what is my best route stock or upgrade, what manufacture and im on a budget im going to do all the work my self but i dont know the ins and outs of modifying from stock this is my first project im thankful for all the help

 

there is a strong likelyhood that u won't get a lot of replys because this is a frequently asked question. it would be in your best interest to search and read up on brake swaps. there are tech articles and postings about brake swaps in general in our FAQ sections. to directly answer your question the quickest way to get a disc setup on you car would be to get a donor vehicle's entire rearend assembly and brake proprotioning valve and swap it with your cars. the closer u get to the same model year the easier the swap. oh and later brake setups use metric brakeline sizes so hit the junkyard and get to work.
