stoptech calipers

Got a couple of question?
I recently got a pair of stoptech calipers that have been powdercoated and rebuilt... got them for a very good price.....

Does anybody know were i can get the caliper mounting plates by themselfs?

How about ebmiller spindle adapters(will they fit)?

Re: stoptech calipers

I replied via e-mail but I'll post here as well. It will depend on what application they were orginally for. If they're for a Vette application then they'll fit given you have the correct adapter brackets and such.

Re: stoptech calipers

Yeah i already talked to stoptech, ima order the ones for the ls1 cars....
Could u email me prices on 2 hubs, and 2 adapter brackets?

Thx.... Just in case i dont get the right caliper brackets from stoptech iam thinking of making some custom ones out of aluminum blocks(take measuremnts and have them cut what ever i need)

If i go that route ill let u have the measurements, maybe that might help let u use stoptech calipers in future products...

The calipers above were originally stoptech ST-40 4 piston calipers, used on most of there big brake kits..... they also have a 6 piston St-60

Re: stoptech calipers

I didn't know stoptechs were radially mounted. That's kind of cool.

Why badge them like brembos? Aren't they an alcon design anyways?

Re: stoptech calipers

Guys i found a link to the stoptech caliper brackets for the ls1 cars......

http://store.zeckhausen.com/catalog/...oducts_id=2063

Stoptech ls1 car adapter brackets... $125+$125
rebuilt stoptech caliper both........... $350 both
Ebmiller hubs and brackets for ls1.....$200

Knowing that the center to center hole spacing difference is the same on all ST-40 calipers....All u have to do is find the correct mounting bracket for your application........Name: Image00644.jpg

Same spacing for all stoptech calipers

Re: stoptech calipers

I know this is an old post, but it's the only one on TGO I've found on Stoptech calipers.

I'm very interested to know if this worked out.

If so, what hubs did you use, regular or 1le? Rotors?

I'd love to be able to get a bracket to use these calipers with C5 rotors and a 1le hub.

Radial mount calipers are very easy to mount and design a bracket for. You could use these calipers with either hub and a wide variety of rotors.
