Ebrake cables converting to PBR rears

Ebrake cables converting to PBR rears

I'm looking into converting my rear iron calipers to PBRs. Is it just as simple as changing out the two cables to the calipers, or do I need a new equalizer assembly?

Yes. But a reconsider. I'm not sure I answered the full extent of your question. Note the link that I've posted below for a blow-by-blow description of the swap.

do they make pbr brakes the 1983 pontiac trans am. When i went on their site it was not there

Whose site?

IIRC, 82-83 have SAE fittings, so that might be of some concern (but I have no experience with them). Here's the how-to:

As usual ur the man James thanks! Nice write up too, just wasn't sure if I was missing something. When you swapped were the backing plates still available from GM?
