83 10 bolt disk rear. Need source for parts

First off, these are not PBRs and i AM NOT INTERESTED UPGRADING .What i need is the brass junction block for the left caliper. It is the block that the hard line screws into and it has a banjo bolt through the middle which holds it to the caliper. I also am missing the e-brake cable return springs that go on the back of the caliper for both calipers. These are the springs that push the parking brake lever back (the ones on the calipers) when the handle is released. I am just looking for a possible source to buy these parts as the dealer and the part stores say they are No longer available.

I have the parts on hand but let me check for you to be sure I have both return springs. If you're interested I also have recall kits for the old calipers as well.

I'll get back to you.

new to the camaro scene. what are the recall kits you speak of? These are new calipers from local auto parts store but I never had the springs and the block is stripped. I just bought everything from another user that I have dealt with before but could you shed some light on the recall thing?

Those old iron calipers are known for locking up and not working right, the recall kit (rebuild kit) takes care of the faulty designs and makes them work right. No way to tell if your new ones will have it installed or not but it's likely they won't. Good luck!

Which is one of the reasons that people upgrade.

JamesC: well I can understand the reason that people upgrade but, this is not a high performance car just your average camaro. No trips to the strip and no hot ******* on the streets. I am not afraid to work on the car either so if they need work I fix them. The car is exactly as I received it and the only thing i am changing is the gears and new paint.

How much are the recall kits? May be interested in just having set on hand if the need arises.

You dont need a high performance race car to appreciate better brakes. I have the PBR rears and its night and day to the drums i had before. Even in normal driving. Braking is one area i dont like to skimp on. It stops closer to what a new car stops like now. Still not great..but better.

I'll PM you, one kit does both sides. They're discontinued from GM now as are most parts.

subroc: This car won't see more than 500 miles a year. 7 miles each way to work on nice days...that's it. I'm not gonna spend the money to upgrade brakes for the little use they will see. I have too many other vehicles that see far more use and the money will go to them for upgrades.

ebmiller88: got your pm. I'll get back to you on that via pm.
