How do you remove axel shafts?
I'm upgrading the brakes on an 84Z and need to get the backing plates off. I've done searches but can't find any that walk you thru removing the axel shafts so I can remove the plates. Thanks.

Remove differential cover, turn carrier until bolt for
spider pin is exposed(5/16 head as i remember),take
out bolt(might not be able to remove completely)
pull out spider pin, push in axle,c-clip should fall out
axle can then be pulled out.
