**how to check front calipers??**

hey guys,

i have a 91 bird, which has sat for awhile...I figured i would change the pads since it was too hard to rotate the wheel when it was jacked up...so I pulled the calipers off, which was hard to get off...

i tried to compress the piston manually/c clamp, but wouldnt go...

I tried to hit the brakes, but the piston would not extend...

any IDEAS???

thanks,
Ron

I'd make sure that price isn't for a pair, or they didn't give you the price for 1LE calipers. At Napa, IIRC mine were $14 each, and there was a $20 core charge on them.

If your current calipers are frozen you should at least rebuild them, but it doesn't cost much more for new ones than to rebuild your current ones, so...
