Re: ATTN: EBMILLER
It took 9 weeks after payment for me to get my kit from Flynbye. I was told 3 weeks before I submitted payment. Lots of emails that went unanswered for weeks and a couple that were never answered at all. He's had my core return for well over a month now and I still haven't been refunded, and I also haven't been refunded for the braided brake lines that I didn't want that he had absolutely no problem remembering not to include with my shipment.
He was nice enough to overnight me the correct calipers (originally sent wrong color) but still, not a good experience at all. I will say the quality of parts is top notch.
Looking back I wish I had went with bigbrakeupgrade.com, I had some correspondence with him and all my emails were answered within hours and the prices are essentially the same.

Re: ATTN: EBMILLER
And these types of things are why I decided NOT to buy from EBMILLEr.
Numerous PMs/Posts here on TGO & even direct questions through the flynbye.com website......All unanswered months later.
I've even had him respond "I'll do...." but he never did so.........
All that & posts like in this thread, are why big brakeupgrade.com gets my $, not Ed.

Re: ATTN: EBMILLER
He's got a good rep on these boards and that's why I have not been as scared as I should be... I sent full payment on May 21st, 2009... Was the LS1 12" brake kit. He gave me a few reasons every now and then but recently hasn't responded for two weeks... I sent him payment through Paypal and he confirmed that he got the payment.. I think he is just a busy guy but I AM getting a bit impatient though... I almost had an accident today because my car's brakes have been lacking for awhile now and I don't want to replace my brakes when I will be getting these ones!
I really hope the quality of the product that I will get makes up for the long wait!
P.S. on a side note, does anybody know how much weight will this LS1 brake kit take off the front of the car?
Thanks.

UPDATE:
ED just emailed me stating that he had just shipped my brakes!
I'm very happy to hear this! Like I stated earlier, he has a good rep, it may have taken the time, but if they are as good as people say they are, then i'll say it's worth the wait! Thanks Ed I'll let everyone know when they arrive!
Thanks!

I'd be surprised if Ed wasn't behind--most one-man operations are at some point. Ed's married, works, attends school (at least at one time), operates his business, and develops new products. That being true, there are only so many productive hours in a day. These businesses aren't a Summit or Jeg's with a plethora of employees and an R&D department.
When I upgraded to 1LE's, front and rear, several years, there were few options (Baer). Currently, basically because of Ed, there are a multitude of choices that I certainly didn't have. Most would agree that his products are first rate and well worth the wait, if there is one. Ed's an honest man, so no worries there. Patience.

It's quite difficult to be the sole proprietor and sole operator of any business. Especially a business that is doing very well!
Ed Has a great reputation and I'm sure is working non-stop/ beyond his own capacity. I also waited a month or so to receive parts from him. However as a person that has also owned and operated their own business on top of a regular job, I know it's very difficult.
If any of you are waiting for parts from him... you will receive what you ordered. It just will take a while. He is a one man operation and is filling orders that were placed before yours I'm sure.

Hey guys,
Ed seems like a great guy to deal with. He is very re-assuring and clear in his messages. I don't mind the wait really if I know that the product is good. Thanks for re-assuring me on his quality. I can't wait to receive the brake kit i will be sure to give everyone feedback on it.
Later!

Re: ATTN: EBMILLER
What little replies I got weren't clear, nor did he follow through on anything he said he'd do.I gave up after getting no response through PM, through his own website Contact Form, through a TGO post....
If he can't type a response, I'm not gonna wait for him to build me something.

Somehow, given your general attitude, past and present, I doubt that Ed'll be broken hearted over losing you as a prospective customer.

Re: ATTN: EBMILLER
No attitude here. I just say it how it is & don't sugar coat it.
I said nothing derogatory. I merely stated FACTS. Can't argue facts.
I doubt he'll care about losing me either. Doesn't care enough to respond to business messages, so why would he care about a post here?
Just something to keep in mind.....Other potential customers searching TGO, will see my bad experiences & may think twice about spending their money with him too.....

Why do you feel the need to defend him, against true statements? Does he need defending? And now you personally attack me? How does me making another company unhappy (how would I do that anyways?) or have any effect on EBMILLER?

Re: ATTN: EBMILLER
I'm obnoxious? Oh woe is me...I've been called a name!!!
Stating facts is undiplomatic? OK, whatever. Hiding facts does not help people to make an educated decision.
Facts are facts.....
EBMILLER won't respond to questions through his own site....
Questions through posts here on TGO...
Questions through PMs.
Nothing undiplomatic about stating facts. I never once said he was ignoring me, giving me bad information, was deceitful in any of his statements. He never did any of that. He simply said NOTHING.

I was talking more about your general board reputation, not particularly what you've written here, though your tone is typically annoying. Now if you follow your normal procedure, it's at this juncture where you'll start ranting and raving and pouting. Should I provide an example or shall we let it go?
Rocky, many apologies for veering off topic so badly.

Silly rabbit, you just asked for more littering (when you could have simply let it go), so at your kind request here it is. Defend your obnoxious, undiplomatic self as well as your ranting and raving in the following link:

Re: ATTN: EBMILLER
Easy there guys, we're all in this together right? To help each other about our cars? Let's just put the nonsense aside...
I think the bottom line is that EB Miller tends to be busy but his products are top of the line? I think that is fair enough to say... I can't speak about Bigbreakupgrade.com but both sellers seem to offer great products.. It's all a matter of preference I guess? Does bigbrakeupgrade.com offer products as good as ed? Are they faster at responding to messages? These are things that should be considered... When people give their personal experiences they should be taken as a consideration when making a purchase, the vendor should not be solely based on one or a few person's experiences..
Not sure if that makes sense ... Oh well

Re: ATTN: EBMILLER
Look, I don't give a damn how busy somebody is, or if it's a one man operation, blah blah, boo hoo. If you start and intend to run a business, you need to follow through with your promises, respond to your customers in a timely matter, and take care of them both before and after payment, shipment, and final installation. I'm a full time student and a sole proprietor of a one-man business myself, so I know *EXACTLY* what it's like. If you don't have the time to commit, then you need to shelve your business for awhile until you can devote the time it requires.
I'm not here to make excuses for a person to whom I am paying good money for a top notch product with top notch service just because he has a "good rep" or "was nice to me on the phone". I AM here to fulfill my duty to the community by giving an honest critique of the services and the product provided to me by FlynBye Performance LLC, and that's exactly what I did.
