Need Cailper help!!

Ok gues well lets start buy saying my cars brakes were getting bad...so i decided i mind as well replace them. Well i happened to score a quasi sponsorship with PowerStop brakes. They sent me cross drilled rotors and cermaic pads. Looked amazing(i will post pics if anyone wants)...well i installed them and had a hard time getting the caliper piston to go back in...i follow hanes manual but still had a hard time. Well went for a quick drive down the road and the brakes were grabbin bad and it was just crazy....so i went back in and tryed to blead the brakes...It got better but still wasnt where i wanted it at. Well i had alot of problem with the caliper on the passenger side; i have to add that that the car used to pull to that side enough that you would notice when you let go of the wheel(dont try this at home kids! lol)...either way the calipers are orginal equpiment and the passenger piston was haning up so i figured mind as well go get some new ones...they were 13 bucks at autozone a piece after the core charge reduction....so i got home and painted them with VHT red paint...looks amazing...as a side note i did tape off all the holes, whole piston area, bleeder screw, and inline area so before you say it, no paint got in there. Then i put them on the car and started bleeding the brakes...driver one was bleeding just fine(had ALOT of air in it tho, still trying to get it all out as i speak)...well i went over the passenger side and it wont bleed...no fluid will come out....so i had the parter press the brake to check if there was any pressure coming from the line into the caliper...and there was. So i disconnect the line to see if maybe some crap got in there or something and clogged the in line. Fluid came out of the caliper so i know fluid is in there....well it still wouldnt bleed...it was acting like there was no fluid in there or something....so i had the parter press the brake to see if the brake was grabbing at all; sure enough nothing....i could spin the rotor with no effort at all...it just keep going and going and going...

sry about the long story but its very important to my question....

SO my question is what would cause this to happen...there is pressure to the caliper...seems like fluid is getting in the caliper...but yet the caliper wont clamp on the rotor at all and it wont let any fluid out of the bleeder either?....i mean i would just return it but i already painted it

Brand new or brand new reman? I suggest the latter. I've purchased a number of reman equipment in the past which proved faulty.

Re: Need Cailper help!!

ya its a reman but still...its like rebuilding a motor...if you do it right its just like brand new...thats just my point of view...but anyway...i took the caliper off and tested it with the old compressed air trick and it works...i have to guess that the problem is in the line/connection to the caliper...but i cant find the problem as of yet

Re: Need Cailper help!!

This is what u need to do: Open the bleed valve (see if the brake fluid reservior is full) press the brake pedal untill u see fluid coming out of the bleed valve, If it does close the bleed valve/niple and press the brake pedal mutiple times. see (or let a friend) it the capilar moves (closes and open) if it does then bleed the brakes and go test it.

I brake fluid does not *** out of the valve check the bolt that goes to the brake line because sometimes it fills with dirt.

I had the same problem this morning believe it or not, and that is what I did.

Re: Need Cailper help!!

Seeing how you asked and i did not update i did get these working. I ended up getting new flex lines(just the rubber ones as they didnt have any stainless ones) and that fixed my problem. I did hang the calipers when i was doing the rotors but it must have pinched um somewhere some how or something. After the new lines everything was good and worked. The new crossdrilled rotors and cermic pads look amazing and omg do they stop better. Next stop is to do a 4th gen rear with posi and disk. Then ill stop for a while on brake stuff. Future plans are to do corvette brakes and all that but at this point, welll there is no point. So ill hold on that stuff.
