Well, they aren't new, but close enough. They were removed from a 2007 z51 corvette when it was a week old (owner upgraded to zo6 brakes).

13.4" fronts, and 13" rears, calipers, rotors, pads, flexlines, all in basically new condition.

Can't wait to get the car back together to try these puppies out!

I don't know what that guy was doing for that first week. But my Dad's '06 Z51 brakes are much cleaner after 4 years and 25k miles.

Re: SCORE! Lookie what I just got for $650!

lol, yeah they're filthy from sitting on a shelf for two and a half years. I had to blow the dust off them just to get a good look. I'll clean them once I'm getting ready to put them on the car. No sense spending time on them now since they will probably sit another couple years. What surprised me the most, is he kept them in a heated and dehumidified garage, there is positively no rust at all.

The nice thing is, there is so little wear that the pads are barely even bedded. I'm stoked, these things are expensive to just go buy.

you're not kidding. I visualized the size of them, and seen alot of pictures. I can tell you I was still shocked by their sheer size when I saw them. They kinda have a comic book character level of disproportion to them on the car, lol. Yeah, the intent was to go 18" anyway, I knew I'd need room for brakes. Seeing them in person kinda gives a whole new level of understanding of why a corvette brakes so well. They are mightly impressive units for a stock car.

thats fricking sweet dude. anyways yes, they are large brakes(dont get much bigger) and they dwarf the stockers but dont be shocked or disappionted like i was. i went with the c5 set up,the 13 " job,not quite as large but still monsters. i thought the same thing as you how large they looked but after you get them on the car, rims on and sitting on the ground i look at it and say "they dont look as large anymore"...but i know they are are i know i have em...........

Anthony714,
I still haven't decided on rims, but with all the other work on the go, that should be a concern for a while. I know what you mean about them not looking so large behind the rim. I thought I might get some chrome c6 rims since they seem to show off the brakes so well. It will be a bit yet, lol. Got any pics of your setup to share?
