E Brake Help

I recently bought my camaro and had it converted to a 5 speed. I just found out that one of the previous owners had done a custom disc brake conversion to the rear end and neglected to set up or install the emergency brake, and i need this before i can have the car saftied. I have the hand lever and mechanism in the cab, but I've been told I'm missing everything else. Does anybody know exactly which parts a need to find and what i need to do to fix this issue?

Welcome to TGO. I assume you have an 86, which means your car will have the tunnel-mounted adjustment piece. Check the pic in post #4 of the following link:

You don't say what kind of brakes the PO swapped onto the car. If the disc brakes have standard Delco-Moraine calipers (82-88), buy cables for an 86. If the calipers are PBR's (89-97), purchase the first-design mentioned in post #2 of the above link. If LS1 PBR's (98+), you'll need custom cables, such as the ones from the following site:

Re: E Brake Help

Sorry for the late reply, i just brought the car out. The 86 was actually my last car, this one's an 84, any difference? I'm not sure which were swapped on, i would think the standard ones. I'm going to take a look tomorrow, I'm assuming it will be relatively easy to tell which they are. Also from the way it sounded from the last guy to take a look at my car there was something missing from the brakes. Is there any reason why i would need something more then just the proper cables to make this work?
