Recently swapped into some LS1 brakes all around (1LE prop valve). I starting having a thought about what if I wanted to upgrade to something bigger and better like the 6 piston C6 Z06 brakes in the future.

From what I have read on the boards.......

The C5 caliper bracket will allow the C6 calipers and many other calipers to fit. Just to simply switch brackets.

But what about the LS1 hubs will they accept any 14" rotor from the other gm brake swaps. And what 14" rotor will work with the C6 Z06 rotors

the c6 zo6 rotor works with the c6 zo6 brakes.

the hub is not a ls1 or c5 or anything hub, its just a 3rd gen rotor machined into a hub. Just about any rotor with the 5 4.75 bolt pattern will fit on it.

Gottcha....

Its only a matter of switching brackets and rotors depending on the swap.

The LS1 hubs you have on you car will not work with C6 rotors. I cant remember the difference off hand but when I was going through a CTSv swap using 14 inch Z06 rotors Ed informed me that the hubs are different. Something to do with the rotor hat. Im sure Ed will chime in

Can I use oem C5 rotors on the "LS1" hubs??

If yes, can I use C6 z06 calipers on the stock c5 rotors???

Well, it really matters what diameter you have your hubs turned down to. I guess if they're not small enough they won't fit inside the z06 rotors hat but it's pretty big. I doubt it'd be a problem. I'm using the same hubs for my c6 brakes as I had with my c5's.
