Right, its wider. But thirdgen rims do fit fine on 4th gen rear ends. And no they dont stick out. Do a search on this board or the Tranny/Drivetrain board. Its been posted before quite a bit, some have pics.

I've got good news and bad news. First, the good news. As most, if not all of you, already know Stainless Steel Brakes (www.ssbrakes.com) has a 1LE kit. Because of a post by someone else I gave SSB a call on tuesday and asked if they would sell just that hard-to-get left hand caliper carrier bracket. The guy I talked to said he didn't know, he had to check with someone, but if they did sell it separately, the price would be around $80 or $85.00. He took my number and was to call back on Wednesday. He didn't, so I called again today (thursday). I spoke to a different individual and asked if they would sell an individual part, and specified the left hand bracket. Yes, they will sell the left hand bracket separately.

Now, since I noted that this was good news/bad news, here comes the bad news. The price is $150(!).

So, if anybody is in a rush to get that left hand bracket, there it is as long as you don't mind being gouged.

I'm editing this message because I forgot to mention that on top of the $150(!) for the part, they are going to charge for shipping(!!).

Just an FYI to everyone. The order has been made and is in the works, now we just wait. As soon as I get an estimated ship date I'll let everyone know.

I had 6 people tell me they needed just the left, so I did order 6 extra lefts, and all the rest are pairs.

That price is with Powerslot rotors, not cheap reman. stock type.

We looked into the Cobra parts awhile ago and it's not nearly the same, no way to use them unfortunately.

Baer gets them from the same place I am, obviously they order a ton of them well ahead of time. We'll have to start doing the same.

Everything is ordered and in the works, now we just wait. If they hold up to their estimated delivery date we should be good to go around May.

Ohhh!! Owww!! That was fairly painful!!

I'm still waiting to find out about a STB for carb cars, from last fall... I understand about retooling and all, but we don't need to plan the whole car!

I understand about being busy,...... But, He did say he was giong to do this...... He took uor orders a long time ago, before "the fourth gen guys" started dumping money on him. I guess I am just frustrated because I have to look at this pile of pricey parts every day. I guess I wouldnt really be that upset if Steve cant or isnt getting the parts, But just let me know!!! I dont mind waiting, but I expect to be kept in the loop. Sorry guys, just venting..... But come on, steve, let us know SOMETHING!!!
