Brake lines rusted (Suggestions)

Brake lines rusted (Suggestions)

Hi,I have an 86 trans am and the rust has eaten my undercarriage any suggestions on the brake lines i should get to replace them.

Judging by those pics, I wouldn't worry too much about that surface rust you have,
get that on any car if you use it daily or at least in the wet if it's not undersealed.

As for you brake lines, I'd just go standard unless you're looking for performance.

The rust looks horrible. I'm afraid something's going to break or fall off. Do you know where i can get brake lines store or online?

www.inlinetube.com makes pre-molded stainless replacement brake lines. I have my eye on that as a potential "wish list" item as I restore my '84.

Ah, thanks a lot! I'm restoring my 86 and i need it for a long road trip and i'm afraid the the brake lines,hoses, and gaskets are going to go from sitting in a garage for 13 yrs and not being started in that time. Btw Good luck with your restoration.
