C5 Front brakes...Dedicated thread?
Honestly ive searched for about 45 minutes, i cant find the thread that has all the diameters and measurements for the mods to convert to C5 front brakes, like what the hub needs to be machined to (5.95 inches??) Isnt there a dedicated thread on that conversion?

James i looked at that site 3 times now and he states "For C4 and C4 HD upgraded take the hub down to 5.95 inches diameter." is it the same for C5?

Re: C5 Front brakes...Dedicated thread?
i read through this thread on LS1 brakes:
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/faq-...s1-brakes.html
and found this:
Q: What outer diameter should I take hub down to?
A: You should take the LS1 rotor with you to the machine shop and have them machine down the hub until it fits in the hat of the LS1 rotor. My hubs have an outer diameter of 5.85 inches.
so now i have two different measurements on the hub, does anyone know what the stock f-body rotor/hub has to be machined to in diameter for the C5 conversion? JamesC? Fueled Soul? -OR- are they all different judging by what that says above about bring the rotor with you? no set standard?

Re: C5 Front brakes...Dedicated thread?
I'm not sure of the exact diameter of the hubs, but IIRC, the inner section of the stock C5 rotor tapers from the inside face to the walls like a trapezoid. I didn't machine the hubs' side down, instead, I ground off the outer edge of the hub until the face sat flush with the inner face of the rotor. Essentially, the hub went from square to trapezoidal. However, if you're already getting the hubs machined to take the 10.5" section off, then maybe you can get them machined to size.

You can buy a full kit off http://www.kore3.com/products.php?cat=11 or just the hubs if you want.

I bought all the brake components from ebay for about $200, machined my own brackets( I would just buy them from ebay or FLYNBYE now), also purchased my hubs from a tgo member( again was planning on buying them from flynbye)

Between ebay, Kore3, and bigbrakeupgrade.com, I put my setup together front and rear for under 1k. Front C5 rotors and brackets with 2006 GTO calipers and rear LS1 brakes. Kore3 supplied my braided steel hoses.
