To Replace or Not to
I just purchased an '84 Z28 with rear discs. The car has sat in a garage for 17 years. The front right caliper was frozen and I replaced both front rotors, calipers, pads, and bearings. The guy who sold it said he did the brakes 2 years ago, but I'm not sure. My question is are the rear rotors/pads still good? The pads seem to have a lot of meat on them and the rotor looks good. Calipers are rusty looking, but don't think they are sticking. It'd be $150 to turn rotors and get new pads or $200 for all new rotors, pads, and calipers (and the headache) of the e-brake being involved. Thanks.

Welcome to TGO, rffanat1c. The problem, if there is one, will probably be with the calipers. Since you really have nothing to lose, drive the car around the block at low speeds and see what develops. You might consider replacing the rubber flex hoses, both front and rear. They are after all 25+ years old.
After sitting that long the rear axle seals may be leaking. I'd give those a peek.
