Are LT1 and 10 Bolt PBRs Rotors Interchangable?

My next rear disk question. My set-up right now is a 91 or 92 10 bolt rear with the associated (original) PBR rear disk brakes. The car is an 82 but I swapped in the entire rear with the disks many moons ago (it was not a conversion).

I just got some help with caliper rebuild part numbers (thanks!), while I am reconditioning the calipers I might as well replace the disks. My question:

Are LT1 vintage fourth gen rear disks a direct fit on my rear (third gen PBR 10 bolt)? I ask because I can order LT1 vintage rear disks for a lot less than the 91/92 disks, they are also easier to come by in my area (more selection)! I did a search and there seems to be a lot of different opinions on the board and lots of conflicting info as well as lots of conversion info about backing plates etc. that just muddies it more...

Simple question, will 93 rear disks fit my 92 rear with e-brake etc. functioning? If not, what is different?

Since the LT1 PBR calipers are nearly identical to 89-92 PBR's, I see no reason why the rotors wouldn't interchange as well.

That is somewhat my theory (why I am asking) but there are other cars where the same calipers are used on disks of different sizes and different "offsets."

The disks show as different part numbers and I cannot find a solid yes they will fit (or no they won't). Hopefully someone here has actually tried it.

the 93-97 rotor are 11 17/32 the 89-92 are 11 43/64 and the have different offsets. The pbr for 93-97 has the fins on top ground down the 89-92 j65 are finned all the way across the top of the caliper.

Yes, they'll fit. LT1 rotors (93-97) are often used in PBR swaps where a drum axle is being used. They have a 6.25" ID which will fit over the drum flange (without the flange being turned down as it would have to be if a 89-92 rotor were employed). Raybestos part number 56407.

Best of luck on your project.
