4th gen Proportioning valve

I'm about to start a 4th gen disc rear swap. I currently have drum breaks and I'm wondering how important it is to swap an ajustable pro valve or a 4th gen pro valve in. I heard it was necessary but I wanted second opinions because it seemed like it would be impotrtant for the brakes to receive the correct amount of pressure.

Use the second-design 1LE valve.

Or GMPartsDirect, GM 10164112.

Have a laugh at the above from GMPartsDirect:

Re: 4th gen Proportioning valve

Thanks for the help man. I take it the 1LE is the best valve to use even if they aren't 1LE brakes? or are all 4th gens 1LE?

Yes, or an adjustable.

The PBR's on LT1's (93-97) are essentially the same as the 89-92 version. The LS1's (98+) are a different design.
