87 Iron Rear Calipers, Brake Line Question

I am swapping in a 9 bolt 3.45 with the rear calipers going from a drum setup.

How are the lines routed, i got a soft line into the right rear caliper but how does the left go? There is no soft line for the left rear.

also why the hell do the pads sit a little loose in the calipers?

The above is correct: flex line on the pass side, hard line on the driver's side.

Yes that is correct for the Iron rear discs. You should be able to get it from one of the brake line suppliers already bent. I believe thirdgen ranch will supply the rear hardlines only if thats all you need.

I must have had an oddball set then. My rear end on my 89 is from a 1983 Trans Am and had hard lines to both calipers prior to my LS1 rear disc swap. The '83 brake lines were purchased from In-Line Tubes http://www.inlinetube.com/Preformed%.../CC-CAT-08.htm

Hard lines to both sides in 82-83 are fairly common, I think. Of course, that wouldn't have been so on a 9-bolt, which didn't arrive until 85.
