New brake line install

Car: 1988 Gta trans am
Engine: LR4 4.8
Transmission: 98-02 t56 6 speed
Axle/Gears: Bw 9 bolt (3.70’s) pbr rotors
New brake line install

Ok so I'm replacing all the brake lineS an hoses on my 88 Gta from the proportional valve all the way to the back an to each caliper does it really matter if the new brake lines dOnt have the stupid circle bends like the original one did right under the proportional valve ????

Put the loops in, they're for strain relief.

You don't necessarily need the loops, but as mentioned before they are for strain relief as the body flexes. However they also can make installation easier by giving you some leeway for fitting. If you put an extra loop at the end, it will allow you to make the line longer or shorter by expanding or shrinking the loop so you can get the nut to end up in the right place.

open the hood, and press the brake pedal really hard. See how much the master movers up and down? its noticeable. Those loops help to keep that stress from the lines and eventually causing them to fail. Granted that may take decades, but its still possible

I wonder how often the hoops are eliminated when an adjustable proportioning valve is installed? And is a slight bend or two sufficient for strain relief?
