Assistance with brake lines

Hey All,

I am replacing the complete brake lines, front disc, rear drums, 1985 SE, 305.
I may want to put disc brakes in the back later, or change the engine to a 350, but I want the car on the road first.

My choice is stainless prebent lines and hoses. if I change to rear disc in the future will the brake lines need to be upgraded later.

What is the determining factor for choosing lines for a specific application? and then possibly changing parts later on?

Thanks

Paul

Re: Assistance with brake lines

you will not need different lines later, but they liens you get will have the be modified to fit whatever brakes you go with. If you use the later model (your 85 should have them) bubble flare lines, you will not have to cut and re/flare anything to change the brakes to use typical brake upgrades, but you will have to creativly bend the lines to make them work.

if you need the car on the road first, just ge the lines for what you have now and worry about the rest later.
