Stainless brake lines... worth the extra money? And another question
Hey guys, I'm gathering parts to overhaul my brake system (LS1 front brakes and replacing the drum rear end with a disc 9-bolt) and I was wondering if the stainless steel brake lines are worth the extra $20 from the inlinetube catalog.
The car won't see corrosive salt during the wintertime regardless of what I get, but I heard somewhere that stainless lines tend to give a better brake feel, but they're harder to install because they're stiffer. Thoughts?
And any recommendations on good brake hoses to replace the rubber ones up front?
Thanks!

You talking about the hardlines? Steel or stainless, there wil be no change in brake feel. Stainless will not rust, ever (technically), worth the the extra money

I went with the Earl's braided stainless brake hoses for piece of mind. I wont need to worry about abrasion or something sharp cutting it. They last longer also. I don't believe you would notice a difference in pedal feel unless your old hoses were bulging or really old.

Who currently manufactures Stainless steel brake lines for thirdgens?
So far I've found this.
http://inlinetube.com/Preformed%20Li...s/ocatalog.htm
A few sites still list Earls stainless lines for sale.
