larger rotors, help

my rotors on my rs are beat to hell, i beat on them fairly hard and tend to warp them allot lol. sooo im in need of new rotors , sense i need new ones and im on a tight budget, i was thinking of the possibility of using stock calipers with larger rotors. does anyone know of a bracket to do this? please

no, you can't.
look up the hubs on NAPA or rockauto and you will see why.

i know the spindle is different, but i dont see the difference of a cut up stock disc to creat the hub or the 4th gen hub... are the bearings the same size and the shaft the same size?

Go to lukeskaff.com and you'll see a pretty complete list of the more easily done options, what you need to do and what parts you'll need.

No, they used a sealed bearing like all modern cars. They don't have a spindle shaft per say, and the bearings aren't serviceable.

You will have a HECK of a time uprgrading to ZL1 calipers one piece at a time. The rotor thicknesses are all off.

if it was as easy as just popping a later model hub onto the stock spindle, then these late model brake swaps would be a hell of a lot simpler.. hell, even GM had to modify the existing spindle to run a larger rotor in the 90-92 cars with the bigger 1LE brakes, and the modifications they made back then are almost exactly the same ones that people do to put bigger brakes on to this day..

like i said, look at pics of the rotor/hub for a 3rd gen and a hub for a 4th gen and it starts to make sense.. better yet, maybe head to a junkyard and see if they'll let you look at different cars to help better visualize how it all goes together- that will tell you a lot more than the typed words from random strangers on the internet..
