Red brake calipers...
I'm sorry for a dumb question. I don't really know what to look/search for so if somebody could be so kind as to just give me a clear cut answer I would greatly appreciate it.
I have a 92 Camaro. Stock rearend, 17" Torque Thrust II's. And I am wondering what options there are for better brakes, with red brake calipers. Are there front and rear? I don't really want to do one and not the other, but I don't know what options I have.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to read and answer.

Re: Red brake calipers...
Any brakes you go with, remember that you can always paint the calipers. They make paint specifically for calipers and comes in all sorts of colors.
As far as better brakes, what kind of power are you making? Stock calipers with a good set of pads/discs should be fine for 250hp on the street.
For reference, here's my painted caliper and drilled/slotted rotors. As long as you clean them up nice and prep for paint, you're good to go.
Go with like Hawks or EBC pads and you're set.

I have a built 400. I guess I was wondering if there were any kits that go for front and rear.

Ah gotcha. Sorry, can't help ya for certain on that. I know they make LS1 kits for the front: http://www.bigbrakeupgrade.com/. I'm sure they're are LS1 rear swaps, but probably a rarity seeing as what type of work is required for that.
Not much help, I'm sure someone will chime in.

I'm not sure what your price range is but I have complete C5 Z06 front brake kit for our cars that is for sale in the classifieds here. The only things you will need to buy are some crush washers and brake fluid. The kit is new.
I also have an LT1 rear disc brake kit for sale as well.

Re: Red brake calipers...
Depending on budget and wheel size, Baer and Wilwood have kits for both front and rear. www.flynbye.com and www.bigbrakeupgrade.com also have kits. How you drive the car will be a deciding factor in which kit is best for you. For a daily driver, I'd upgrade to the LS1 fronts and rears and use caliper paint to get the color you want. If you plan on road racing or autox, you might want to seriously consider some of the 4 and 6 piston options from Baer and Wilwood. And definitely use a better pad than the cheap replacement pads most local parts stores will recommend as a low cost option. Hawk and EBC are available as are factory pad sizes from other aftermarket pad mfgs.
Personally, we run one of flynbye's Wilwood GTA kits on our 88 GTA and couldn't be happier with the performance of the brakes when we're racing it. The deciding factor on the kit was that it fit under the factory GTA wheels and would provide stopping power suitable for the beating that poor car regularly sees at track days.
