Parking brake issue

So since day one of owning my camaro ive had to put my parking brake pretty much vertical to lock my drums, recently i drove my frineds 92 and his ebrake handle had a normal pull to it. Now i would like to fix mine to do the same lol the rear brakes have been overhauled about a month ago, what do i need to do to reduce the travel on my ebrake? Ive heard of an adjustment under the car and i played with it with no change is there another adjustment somewhere or are my cables just stretched too far? The car is an 89 RS orignally, the brakes havent been messed with beyond normal servicing

Re: Parking brake issue

about a foot in front of the diff, above the driveshaft theres a clevis. A single cable goes from the clevis towards the front of the car. Thats the cable your pkg brake attaches. Theres a threaded rod on that cable going thru the clevis, with a nut (1/2" IIR), and a 1/4" open end wrench flat at the front of the threaded rod where the rod attaches to the cable. Tighten that 1/2" nut, and that will shorten your pkg brake handle pull length.

On a 91-92, is there different way of adjusting the E-brake cable??
