bigbrakeupgrade leaking problem

Hey guys I got the ls1 upgrade for my 92 camaro and iv had nothing but problems with leaking, anyone else had these problems? Or am I just the unluckiest guy in the world, I ended up getting the aftermarket lines with it and it helped a bit with the leaking and then it started again a short while later, anyone else have pictures of your setup, would just like to see how your lines are routed ect.
Thanks

Where is the leak at in the system?
I have LS1 brakes front and rear using stock lines and don't have any leaks.

Looks like its coming from my banjo bolt, the banjo looks like its been hitting the lower control arm and it crushed the washer to far either that or it blew my threads, would getting a alignment fix this problem?

Re: bigbrakeupgrade leaking problem

Iv backed my tie rods the way and the bolts dont hit until I turn the car on and powersteering kicks in. My banjo bolts seem to be bottoming out before my those metal stops on the lower control arm, any ideas?

This is the problem with running an LS1 setup. You have to remove the steering stop on the spindle. I am surprised an alternative stop is not provided. Maybe you make a custom one that attaches either to the control arm or the spindle. Whatever you do, you probably shouldn't drive the car until you get this solved.

Ah that would make alot of sense, I just thought the complete ls1 kit would be complete haha thank you very much for your input, Ill get right on this, what do you think about drilling out the old stop rivets and getting a new piece of metal fabricated and use bolts hold it on?

I think that is certainly one of the options. Just make sure it comes in contact with the spindle and not the caliper.

Re: bigbrakeupgrade leaking problem

Just did this swap yesterday. The issue is that the bump stops do not hit the spindle before the caliper does. There are a few ways to fix this.
The easiest that I found is to bend the bump stop towards the back of the car so that it hits the lower bracket to spindle bolt. Another way is to add material to the bump stop so it hits before the banjo bolt. Did this to my car and my brothers yesterday. Works like a charm.
