quick brake help rear disk aluminum

While I was at the pick-n-pull; I found a '92 camaro with aluminum disks on the rear. Quick check of the RPO found that the car was originally disk/drum.
I recognized the brakes as PBR; so I removed them. Pulled the rear cover and found 3.42 posi and something that appeared to be a bicycle sprocket thing. Electrical connector on top of the third member. LT1 swap,,correct??
There are NO emergency brake cables installed at all.
Question: The left side of the caliper (only) has some sort of (large metal thing, and a heavy duty spring on what appears to be part of the parking brake assy...some sort of damper??)
Is the passenger-side supposed to have the spring/damper assy; also?
I will return monday to remove the complete third member for "my" car.
If the spring/damper assy. is missing from the right side, where could I purchase one..
Does anyone have a diagram/parts breakdown of this brake assy; so I know what parts i need and how they go together?
Thank you
mike

The dampers aren't necessary (many 89-92 cars weren't equipped with them from the factory). I'd ditch them altogether.

I neglected to mention that the spring is part of the parking brake. Pics in the following link:

IIRC, the springs and cables can be found below:

Re: quick brake help rear disk aluminum

It appears that I am missing a spring, a bracket, and a ton of dirt removal.
This would also explain why the right rear rotor was completely shot.
Without that spring/bracket the parking brake was dragging on the rotor.
Thank you very much james
Sincerely
mike
