how do i replace this? is it part of ebrake cable??
my ebrake cable snapped on both sides, the cable goes to this piece behind caliper... what is it and do I change when the ebrake is replaced? is this something I can do myself?? I noticed it when I replaced my pads and calipers... thanks

that's a snapped e brake cable, just buy some new ones.
The layered block is a counterweight, it helps the parking brake retract when not applied and keeps the linkage from jumping. There's also a coil spring between the cable and the linkage.
